About the Track

Do you want to prepare yourself for the era after the digital revolution? In an era of dizzying technological and business innovation, Industrial Engineering and Management studies will prepare you to improve and optimize the supply chain, the production system and service – with emphasis on innovative technologies and use of data. You will learn how to reduce the waste of time, materials and resources in organizations and improve the system’s performance.

Why study Industrial Engineering and Management at the Technion?

Here you will combine challenging analytical studies with business courses aimed at post-digital revolution industry. Industrial Engineering is a multidisciplinary profession that requires mathematical depth, knowledge and understanding of operations research and optimization, game theory, statistics, economics, artificial intelligence (AI), a deep understanding of business and organizational processes and diverse aspects of behavioral science and management. Our curriculum in the Faculty of Data and Decision Sciences at the Technion deals with all these topics and is unique in the strong emphasis placed on use of data and training students for the information revolution that is taking place in Israel and worldwide, and the use of advanced technologies, known as Industry 4.0.

Specialization Track in Economics

The specialization track in economics provides knowledge and skills in a range of subjects that combine both economic theory and practice. The program places an emphasis on economic thinking and on developing an intuition for making economic decisions. The track comprises six courses that are offered as elective courses at the Technion.     Data Science and Engineering

    The Data Science and Engineering program will train you to make sense of the vast amounts of information created in the modern world. Through our curriculum, you will learn to develop methods for automatic understanding of text, build internet search engines, develop data analysis methods to identify business opportunities, develop techniques for analyzing information encoded in DNA sequences and even predict the outbreak and spread of epidemics by means of social networks.
