Prof. Emeritus Michael Rubinovitch Joined the Faculty in 1970. He received his Ph.D. in Applied Probability and Statistics from Cornell University in 1969.

Prof. Rubinovitch main research fields are in Applied Probability, Operations Research, Probabilistic Models in Chemical Engineering and in Economics.

He was appointed to The Israel Pollak Chair in Industrial Engineering and Management in 1987

Prof. Rubinovitch was the Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Management (1980-1982) and served as Deputy Vice President for Academic Affairs for one year 1984/1985 and Vice President for Administration and Finance from 1992 to 2000 and from 2001 to 2005.
