Retired Associate Professor Avi Parush joined the faculty in 2013. He received his Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from McGill University, Montreal in 1984.
In addition to being an associate professor in the Industrial Engineering and Management Faculty, at The Technion, Israel, Avi is also an emeritus professor from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada, and an adjunct professor at Queen’s University, Kingston, Canada.
Avi’s primary research question is; What are the conditions and constraints where technology can facilitate, or not help, or even degrade human performance and experience. His current research focuses on teamwork in complex and critical situations, human factors in healthcare, human-robot interaction and collaboration, human behavior aspects relevant to autonomous vehicles, and conventional and simulation-based training with a focus on team training.
