عمير عوفرا

Associate Professor Ofra Amir joined the faculty in 2017. She received her Ph.D. in computer science at the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences in 2016 and M.Sc in Information Systems Engineering (summa cum laude) in 2011.

Prof. Ofra Amir’s main research interests lie at the intersection of artificial intelligence and human-computer interaction. Her work focuses on developing intelligent systems that support people; the development of such systems requires both novel algorithmical approaches to solve hard computational problems, as well as the design of new interaction methods such that the systems fit well with people’s capabilities and workflows. She’s particularly interested in applying the developed methods and systems in domains such as healthcare and education.
