Prof. Emeritus Ishay Weissman Joined the Faculty in 1976. He received his Ph.D. in Statistics from The University of Chicago in 1971.

Ishay’s research is mainly in Probability and Statistics in particular in the fo;;owing areas;

Large sample properties of extreme values, asymptotic distributions under non-standard conditions,the extremal processes, measures of dependence, inference based on sample extremes.
Reliability – Mathematical Models for Systems Reliability (see my book under this title).
The flatness phenomenon – non-constant densities which are constant over some interval.
